Merry Christmas!

It has been a long time since my last post! I have been VERY busy throughout this Christmas season! We had a total of 8 Christmas celebrations to attend so accompanied by lots of travel I have also managed to catch a cold along the way! (Please keep me in your prayers!)
We are currently experiencing technical difficulty trying to get my mommy's new camera hooked up to our computer, so pictures will be coming shortly.

Christmas Tree Farm!

Daddy, Mommy and I went to the Christmas Tree Farm!
There were dogs there! I chased them around and barked at them!

It was cold out! We were there for about 30 minutes but we got a beautiful tree! We came home and I took a good nap and when I woke up the tree was decorated and so pretty! I haven't been to interested in playing with it, so mom is VERY happy about that!

Christmas is only 20 days away!

If anyone knows Santa, please tell him I have been a good boy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday with The Toombs and family and then on Saturday we had another thanksgiving with The Cole's and family. I LOVED all of the food and ate very well (a couple of times at each gaterhing!) When is the next Thanksgiving?!?!

After eating turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cheesy potatoes, green beans, and a dinner roll this was the PERFECT bib!

I LOVED all of the yummy food and ate very good!

Okay...so everyone heard about Cyrus putting my cell phone in the toilet last week...well, not only do we have a 14 month old child but also a 3 year old Cat. We were gone for most of the week during Thanksgiving and Sunny gets pretty mad at us when we leave him. This is what we came home to on Saturday night......

That's Cy's SOCK in the TOILET!!! Sunny drinks out of the toilet and this sock was NOT here when we left the house, I checked to make sure he could get a drink while we were gone! HA! What are we going to do with these boys?!?!

Gigi and Pap (Great Grandpa and Grandma Cole) gave me an early Christmas gift. It's a Praise Baby DVD of Christmas music. We put it in when we got home and I would not take my eyes off of the screen! Thank you Gigi and Pap!

Fall pictures

Cyrus LOVES to play outside...these were taken on the last "warm" days of the fall...Enjoy, they are CUTE!!! :] (pardon my biased opinion!)

Cyrus has been sick for the last 2 weeks. I took him to the doctor because he had a fever for about 4 days. The doctor said it was a sore throat (I had a feeling there was more). The fever lasted another 3 days, went away for a couple of days, and then came back. I took him back to the doctor on Friday and sure enough, it was more than just a sore throat...he has a pretty bad ear infection! POOR BABY! He has been such a trooper through the whole thing!

The last picture (above) is one morning last week. I could just tell he wasn't feeling well. He and I had breakfast and then cuddled up on the couch and snuggled pretty much all morning!

He is so wonderful and I praise God for giving us such a strong little boy! Please pray for a speedy recovery with his ear infection!
Oh yea, you might get a kick out of this!

This morning on our way to Church I realized that I forgot my cell phone on the chair at home. I didn't think much about it...after Church we went to lunch and to hang out with the fam. We got home around 5:30 and when I looked in the chair to check my phone it was no where to be found.

I got a weird feeling and went into our bathroom...

(When we were getting Cyrus' coat on before leaving the house his hands were all wet and we figured he had gotten into the toilet.)
Sure enough, there was my phone...sitting, soaking in the TOILET for about 8 hours!!! So, if you need me, call me on David's phone for the next couple of days. Oh, the joys of curious 1 year olds! :]

Celebrity Sunday!

Daddy, Mommy and I went downtown to meet Gramma and Grandpa Cole, Aunt Abbie and Alex for lunch and to celebrate my mommy's birthday which was October 28th. On our way into the resturant we ran into the one and only MR. JOHN MADDEN! He was very nice and let us get a picture with him! Here's dad and I with the big man himself!

I got my Halloween basket from Gramma and Grandpa! I got to eat my first piece of candy! A delicious cherry sucker! I LOVED IT!

After lunch we decided to walk around Circle Centre Mall for a little while. We were standing outside of Journey's when we saw Roy Hibbert of the Indiana Pacers! Two celebrities in one day, can you believe it?!?!

Gramma, me, and mommy!

Mom and Dad took me to our church for Trunk-and-Treat! I had sooo much fun looking at all of the costumes! I got lots of candy (that mom won't let me eat!) and really enjoyed staying up past my bedtime! I was wired all the way home and didn't go to bed until 10:00! Who knows, maybe I snuck a Snickers bar when no one was looking!!!

First Haircut!

I got my very first haircut today!

I did a great job and held really still! I look soooo cool!

I also got dedicated at church today which was really nice! I thank the Lord that my Daddy and Mommy want to raise me in a christian home. I'm enoying learning about Jesus so far and LOVE when mommy sings "Jesus Loves Me"!

Update!

Here is my 1 year update! I went to the doctor on Friday for my 12 month check up. Things went very well! I'm still very tall, 90th percentile for height and perfect for my weight which is in the 60th percentile! Dr. Ambre said I am very healthy and smart and the next time he see's me (15 months) I should be saying 6-12 words, running, and climbing!

I got 3 shots which I did pretty well with. I cried a little bit, but with a little Tylenol and a great 3 1/2 hour nap and I was back to normal for the rest of the day!

Many things have changed about me this whole week that I have been 1. I now think that I don't have an 8:00 bed time! I have been enjoying banging on the bedroom wall and talking to myself for at least 30-45 minutes before actually falling asleep. I also have began saying "Uh-Oh!!" after purposefully dropping my sippy cup or toy that I am playing with. Also, a little attitude has developed and you can sometimes find me stomping my feet when I don't want to do something! What can I say...I'm 1 and I'm king!

Happy Birthday, Cyrus!

Exactly 1 year ago today Cyrus came into this world. Here is what he looked like then!

I went into Cyrus' room this morning after he woke up and sang "Happy Birthday!" He just laughed at me! Who knew at only 1 year old he would already be making fun of his mother...

Anyway, we thank God for giving us such an AMAZING little boy. David and I have both lived great lives, but this last year is beyond comparison to anything either of us have ever experienced. Parenthood has taught us the meaning of true love, patience, and what life is all about. Cyrus is such a happy, smart, well-behaved little boy and we cannot imagine what life was like without him!

We love you Cyrus and thank you God for choosing US to be his parents!

We love you more than you will ever know!

My FIRST Birthday Party!

We celebrated my 1st year of life today!

I am so thankful for all of my wonderful family who came to my party! Thank you for all the great time and for all of the fun gifts. You are all so special to our family and we love you very much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We thank the Lord for giving us such an amazing, healthy, smart, beautiful son! We couldn't ask for more! We are so blessed! :]

Stoney Creek Pumpkin Patch!

I went to Stoney Creek Pumpkin Patch this weekend! When mom told me I was going, I was so happy! Here I am looking out the window and waiting to go!

We had a wonderful weekend! We found 4 great pumpkins to take home! My mom and dad enjoy this time of year, and really enjoy pumpkins! My daddy proposed to my mommy with pumpkins, and last year they carved a "Welcome Home Cyrus" pumpkin and I was born the next day!

Also...Today is my Daddy's 26th Birthday! Happy Birthday, daddy! We love you very much and thank God for blessing our lives with you!
