Go Cubs, GO!!!

I got to spend Saturday with my Grandpa and Grandma Toombs! Mommy and Daddy went to a CUBS game!
It was one of the BEST games they have seen at Wrigley Field as the Cubs took home the victory over the Cardinals!

Mommy and Daddy really missed me, but had a great time spending some time away. I had a great time with my Toomb's grandparents! THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking such good care of me while mom and dad were away!

Mommy was working late tonight and daddy and I made her dinner! I am such a good cook, daddy isn't too bad either!
You may or may not know that my Great Grandpa Black was injured in a table saw accident last Thursday. He underwent surgery early Friday morning, and thank goodness came out alright! We thought his middle and index fingers and his thumb were going to be lost however the surgeon was fantastic and was able to save all but his middle finger! (He lost the middle finger and will only get partial use of the index back-the thumb will be there for looks, but he will not be able to use it!)
We are thankful for all of the prayers for him as he is doing well at home recovering! We are glad he was blessed to have all ten fingers for 84 years of his life...and something tells me he will be just FINE for the next 84 years with eight!
We love you Papaw.

Here I am!

Cy loves to play in his room. He will grad a book, climb up in the rocking chair, read it, and climb back down to grab another! You should see him try to get up on this thing! HAHA!
This picture is from a couple weeks ago (I know it's gross) but I couldn't resist posting it. Everyone knows that with daycare comes sickness! Cy had his first dose of being really sick and he was such a trooper! This is what he looked like every morning...green snot and a smile! The cold passed and he is feeling MUCH better! We went to the doctor last week and everything looked great! Cy now weighs 25 lbs. and is still in the 90th percentile for his height. He also got the last of his shots, so there will be no more of those until he's 4!!! YEAAAAAA!!!!!!

He just needed a taste of the BLUE icing!
My cool new Cubs hat from Uncle Zac!
I look SO cool in it and actually wear it for hours at a time! :]

Mom and Dad update: My new job is going GREAT! I am really happy working full time and although I wouldn't change my time at home with Cy for his first year and a half, I do not know how I did it! We had our yearly Early Childhood Conference last Thursday-Saturday. I had to be downtown at the convention center at 7 am for all three days of conference, but it was a BLAST! Even with the economy (and spring break falling at the same time) we still had over 3,000 of our closest Early Childhood friends that were able to attend! I am so proud of IAEYC and the hard work we do for our conference and each and every day! David's job is continuing to go well and he is really working hard and selling, selling, selling!
Cyrus is really enjoying daycare and is able to do SO many things that we aren't able to do at home...like get REALLY messy! We head straight for the tub when we get home! He had an Easter Party this week and brought M&M's to share with all of his friends! He has been brining home beautiful artwork! I think he is the next Picasso...haha!
Cy us talking ALOT! He is now saying: No, Yes, Cyrus, Cy, Mama, Dada, school, juice, Bible, Jesus, Me, Mine, apple, nana (banana), mamaw, papaw, Auntie, more, and please and he will pretty much repeat any word you ask him to say. He LOVES to sing and dance and is jibber-jabbering pretty much NON stop! in the car, at the dinner table, in the bathtub, in his crib, I mean ALL the time! What a smart kid! (or am I being biased?!?! HA!)
We have been Blessed tremendously and we are so thankful!
