Mom and Dad took me to our church for Trunk-and-Treat! I had sooo much fun looking at all of the costumes! I got lots of candy (that mom won't let me eat!) and really enjoyed staying up past my bedtime! I was wired all the way home and didn't go to bed until 10:00! Who knows, maybe I snuck a Snickers bar when no one was looking!!!

First Haircut!

I got my very first haircut today!

I did a great job and held really still! I look soooo cool!

I also got dedicated at church today which was really nice! I thank the Lord that my Daddy and Mommy want to raise me in a christian home. I'm enoying learning about Jesus so far and LOVE when mommy sings "Jesus Loves Me"!

Update!

Here is my 1 year update! I went to the doctor on Friday for my 12 month check up. Things went very well! I'm still very tall, 90th percentile for height and perfect for my weight which is in the 60th percentile! Dr. Ambre said I am very healthy and smart and the next time he see's me (15 months) I should be saying 6-12 words, running, and climbing!

I got 3 shots which I did pretty well with. I cried a little bit, but with a little Tylenol and a great 3 1/2 hour nap and I was back to normal for the rest of the day!

Many things have changed about me this whole week that I have been 1. I now think that I don't have an 8:00 bed time! I have been enjoying banging on the bedroom wall and talking to myself for at least 30-45 minutes before actually falling asleep. I also have began saying "Uh-Oh!!" after purposefully dropping my sippy cup or toy that I am playing with. Also, a little attitude has developed and you can sometimes find me stomping my feet when I don't want to do something! What can I say...I'm 1 and I'm king!

Happy Birthday, Cyrus!

Exactly 1 year ago today Cyrus came into this world. Here is what he looked like then!

I went into Cyrus' room this morning after he woke up and sang "Happy Birthday!" He just laughed at me! Who knew at only 1 year old he would already be making fun of his mother...

Anyway, we thank God for giving us such an AMAZING little boy. David and I have both lived great lives, but this last year is beyond comparison to anything either of us have ever experienced. Parenthood has taught us the meaning of true love, patience, and what life is all about. Cyrus is such a happy, smart, well-behaved little boy and we cannot imagine what life was like without him!

We love you Cyrus and thank you God for choosing US to be his parents!

We love you more than you will ever know!

My FIRST Birthday Party!

We celebrated my 1st year of life today!

I am so thankful for all of my wonderful family who came to my party! Thank you for all the great time and for all of the fun gifts. You are all so special to our family and we love you very much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We thank the Lord for giving us such an amazing, healthy, smart, beautiful son! We couldn't ask for more! We are so blessed! :]

Stoney Creek Pumpkin Patch!

I went to Stoney Creek Pumpkin Patch this weekend! When mom told me I was going, I was so happy! Here I am looking out the window and waiting to go!

We had a wonderful weekend! We found 4 great pumpkins to take home! My mom and dad enjoy this time of year, and really enjoy pumpkins! My daddy proposed to my mommy with pumpkins, and last year they carved a "Welcome Home Cyrus" pumpkin and I was born the next day!

Also...Today is my Daddy's 26th Birthday! Happy Birthday, daddy! We love you very much and thank God for blessing our lives with you!

I got to see my Great Grandpa Maggard!!! I haven't seen him since I was about 2 weeks old. It was nice to see him and pull on his beard! I love and miss you, grandpa! Those beautiful blue eyes run in the family!

Fun Friday!

I wasn't feeling well on Thursday morning...all I wanted to do was hold and kiss my Aunt Abbie's picture! I cried when mom took it away from me!
I went to visit my Papaw Black on Friday. Here I am teaching papaw how to play the keyboard!

My Papaw Black, Great Grandpa Black and Grandma Cathy came to visit me today! I really enjoyed spending time with them, and showing off for them! They got to see all of my tricks, new and old...my newest trick, WALKING!!!! I've been practicing for about 3 weeks now and I'm starting to get really good! Crawling is so last season!
Mom is totally out numbered by boys....3 to 1!
Aunt Ceji came to visit again, all the way from Colorado! I had such a good time with her! Mommy misses her so much and was excited to have her back for a little while!
