Zoo Day!

Wednesday was a BEAUTIFUL day, so we headed to the zoo with the Talley girls!

We got to the elephants just in time to see him pick who was going to win the superbowl! They put a paintbrush in his trunk and he walked up to the easels and predicted who would win...

he chose the Patriots....BOOOOOOO

This was really fun to watch, there were people inside videotaping it, so we are all on video...somewhere in cyber space! :)

The weather was PERFECT and all of the animals were up moving around! This lion was eyeing Cy...I think he was imagining eating him for dinner! :)

Nolan would RUN to me and wrap his arms around me every time the Tiger got close to the glass! It was soooo funny!

We probably had the best day (at the zoo) we have ever had! Most of the time, in the summer, the animals are too hot to move around, but this day was about 63* and SUNNY, and there was NO crowd at all!!!! It was a glorious day and we praise God for the wonderful/crazy February weather!

SUPERBOWL XLVI

Well, we couldn't let SuperBowl 46 go by in INDIANAPOLIS without saying "we were there!" SO we headed downtown on Tuesday afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa Cole, Gigi and Pap, and the boys and I. We were there for about 4 hours just walking around and taking it all in and we had a GREAT time!!!! We live in a pretty amazing city and I am so proud of Indianapolis!

Disney on Ice

Grandma and Grandpa Cole got us tickets to see Disney on Ice! We took the kids to see "Toy Story 3" on ice last year and thought we would make it a tradition since we all loved it so much!

This year we all met downtown, saw the AWESOME show, and then went out for a wonderful lunch together! It was great morning/afternoon!! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!

Nolan LOVED the show! He stood up for most of it, "ooh-ing" and "ahh-ing" through everything and clapping whenever he got the chance! He was HILARIOUS!!! :)

Here are a few pictures of Cy and Nolan playing...I couldn't chose just one, because they all make me smile! What HILARIOUS kids!

(the horse Cy is on was mine when I was his age. The horse Nolan is from Aunt Patty and Great Grandpa Feldman who got it for Cy (before he passed away)! Cy LOVES his horses and plays on the many times every day. He has outgrown BlackJack (his horse from Grandpa Feldman whom he re-named Bullseye) so he happily rides his "new" horse, Maximus!

Christmas and More!

Well, time has really gotten away from me, and I had to put the blog on the backburner-BUT, we're back!

Here are some pictures from Christmas up until now! We had a wonderful Christmas! Santa brought the kids everything they asked for-Cyrus got a snowboard, bindings, helmet, boots, and all the snowgear! Now all we need is SNOW!!!!!!!

We were so thankful to celebrate the birth of Christ...THE reason for the season! Hope you enjoyed your Holiday as much as we did!

We spent Christmas morning at our home. G-mom and G-dad Toombs and Uncle Justin came over to open presents! We had a great time with them!

COLE/TALLEY Christmas 2011- Camp Challenge

This year for our annual Cole/Talley Christmas, we went to Bedford, IN-Camp Challange and spent 3 days together! We had a great time of playing games, doing a 1,000 piece puzzle, talking, laughing, shooting guns(I shot my first gun!! woo-hoo!), and being together!

Is That You, Santa???

Nolan was being his SILLY little self in front of the tree!

He was posing like crazy! What a funny little boy!

A couple weeks ago we took the boys to the mall to visit Santa and so Cyrus could let him know exactly what he is asking for this Christmas...A SNOWBOARD!!!

You may have seen this picture from our Christmas card, but if not-here it is! What a classic...Nolan HATED poor ole' Santa!

But Cy was SOOO excited to let Santa know that he has been a good boy this year!

Yesterday (Sunday) we had our "Maggard" family Christmas (My moms side of the family). We all gathered at my cousin's house- Christy and Mike- and enjoyed a great meal and had lots of laughs as usual! The kids all love playing together and Cy had a BLAST playing with all of his cousin Colin's AWESOME toys!

Santa comes to our Christmas each year and surprises the kids with one toy that they have been asking for! Nolan wasn't happy, once again, but he did like the toy telephone that Santa's elves made for him! :)

And Cy was soooo happy about the "Allinol Car" he got! (Do you think Nolan recognize's his uncle Zac!?!?!)

We had a great time at the first family Christmas celebration of the year. We ended the night at our church for the 3rd annual Christmas program which was beautiful!!

Now we are looking forward to this weekend when we will celebrate David's work party and another family Christmas on Sunday!

It's hard to believe Christmas is less than 2 weeks away!!! :)

On Friday morning we met Grandma Cole, Aunt Jamie, Kate and Kinley at the Children's Museum!

Grandma, Cy, Nolan and I went through the Haunted House and he bought these cool "vampire" teeth when we were finished! He LOVED it!

Our big boy turned 4 on Thursday, October 13th and we celebrated with him by going to Monkey Joes (Bounce House), lunch at Steak and Shake (with a strawberry milkshake, of course) playing games, puzzles, Wii, going to Toys R Us to pick out a few birthday toys from mom, dad and Nolan (He chose a Woody and Bullseye toy -from Toy Story, A bow and arrow and a movie) and home for Pancakes and Bacon (His choice) and icecream cupcakes from Maggie Moos (THANKS, Auntie BT!) On Saturday we celebrated his birthday at Pinheads with duckpin bowling and wonderful family!

Our Trip to the ER

Daddy took over for mommy duty and laid with Nolan while I had my first chance of the day to eat (and snap some pics)! (I must brag, I'm one lucky lady!)

Saturday night was by far the WORST/SCARIEST night as a parent thus far. Nolan went to bed at his normal time of about 7:30 and was up around 12:00 crying/barking and wheezing! Cy had just gone through Croup, so we were just waiting/praying/hoping that when Nolan got it, it wouldn't be too bad. Well, it was REALLY bad! We were up ALL night and only found relief for him about 4:00am by opening up his bedroom window (It was probably 45 degrees outside) and letting him breathe in the COLD air. There Nolan and I "slept", in his rocking chair, until about 6:30 am. We had our first Community Group at church that David and I are leading, so he went to church and I stayed home with both boys. David was talking to a friend of ours in class about Nolan and she recommended we get him to the ER immediately, so David came home and we rushed Nolan to the ER. They quickly escorted us to a room and started a breathing treatment and gave him a steroid shot and tylenol for his fever. I was immediately relieved to find that our sweet boy found so much relief from the breathing treatment that he fell asleep! To keep this story short, we were there for most of the day Sunday and had 2 breathing treatments and were released with the doctor saying, "Tonight will probably be a tough one, so if you need to, please come back in and we will take care of him!" This really scared me, but Nolan took a huge nap as soon as we got home, went to bed at 7:00 and slept ALL NIGHT until 8 am the next morning, not waking up at all! They say God answers prayers, but sometimes with a no...God didn't answer our prayer of keeping Nolan away from the virus, but he did answer it with a great nights sleep for EVERYONE! :)
Thank you for all of your prayers for our sick boys! We are healthy once again!

Autumn FUN!

Both boys are feeling MUCH better after our week-long fight with Croup and coughs...

this weather is GORGEOUS so today, we headed to the park!

Cy woke us up about 2:30 this morning (Thursday) coughing or barking rather, and wheezing TERRIBLY! Some friends of ours from church had recently told me about their youngest child and their terrifying experience with croup, so right when I heard him, I knew exactly what was happening. He ended up waking up about every hour and eventually I slept in his bed with him just to make sure he was breathing and to calm him when he woke up startled. I called his doctor at 8:00 am and we were in her office by 8:30. Sure enough, just as I expected, he had croup. He was administered a breathing treatment and we were sent home with a steriod and breathing treatments every 4 hours for 5 days! She also had him get a chest x-ray, just to make sure there wasn't anything else happening in his lungs, which came out perfect.

We came home and watched movies, took naps, and have relaxed all day. He said right before his nap, "Mom, I really hope I feel better in the morning!" It breaks your heart when you know there is nothing you can do to make your baby feel better! He is such a trooper, though!

The above pic. is our first breathing treatment at home. He thinks the dinosaur facemask is pretty cool! :)

Please pray for Cy, that he is able to rest well tonight and that there is minimal swelling in his windpipe and this all goes away QUICKLY! Please pray for Nolan that he doesn't become infected with this virus!!!

We LOVE the OBX

We (Dad and Mom Cole and us) left Roanoke, VA on Sunday afternoon and headed straight to Corolla, North Carolina (The Outerbanks=OBX) and got there Sunday evening!

We wasted NO time and got to the beach first thing Monday morning...the boys L.O.V.E.D. it!!!!

Nolan wasn't a huge fan of having sand all over him, but we kept his water shoes on and he was good! He really enjoyed playing in the sand and water!

We went to the aquarium on Roanoke Island and had a great afternoon! We have been once before, years ago, but decided to visit again.

Nolan is really into looking at things and pointing at them! He really liked looking at the fish.

They had an AWESOME exhibit for sea turtles...

Step 1: Choose a turtle and take it to the "lab" to get an x-ray.

Cy's turtle had swallowed something that was not food. Probably a bottle top or some type of plastic.

Step 2: Take your turtle to the rehabilitation station and give him the proper medication.

Cy got to give his turtle an oral antibiotic and also an enema! (haha)

Step 3: Send your healthy turtle back into the ocean!

They had a huge take with several LARGE sharks! We got to see scuba divers go into the tank and answer questions the audience had. It was pretty cool.

Really cool globe, you can't tell because of the flash on the camera, but the room was dark and the globe is neon! Very neat!

Outside there is an area to dig shark teeth and fossils.

Nolan was holding Cy's snake while he was digging for fossils! :)

We went to the beach EVERYDAY...obviously! (It was a 5 minute walk from our house)...And sometimes we went twice! The waves were large, up to 7 feet one day becuse of the tropical storms going on out in the Atlantic...the weather however was AMAZING, so the HUGE waves didn't stop us from having fun! :)

Cy was so proud... Here he is smiling because he was doing his "favorite part of the vacation"...flying his kite! :)

These boys bring us so much JOY and I feel so blessed that we were able to take such a great, relaxing, FUN vacation!

I'm sad to see summer go, but it sure was a good one! :)

Interstate Softball-Roanoke, VA

Every year our church/family heads to Roanoke, VA for the interstate softball tournament! We are there to play some great softball games, but more importantly we are there for fellowship, Christ, and Paraguay! This year over $31,000 was raised! Also, many lives were committed to Christ which is always awesome to see! We had an awesome weekend!

Since the weather has cooled off a bit the past few nights, I promised Cy that we would make smores over a fire!

A Day at the Lake!

On Friday, some friends of ours invited us to Morse Resovoir to spend the day on the lake! We enjoyed a fun time with great fellowship! A HUGE thank you to the wonderful Knisley's for hosting us and opening up their amazing home! It was a perfect day!

Becides the pool and boat there were 2 waverunners...we also enjoyed tubing and wakeboarding! One of the biggest hits of the day...a SLUSHIE MACHINE!!! (It was so cool!)Nice rack, Nolan! :) hehe

Cy has become quite the little fish this summer. He is jumping in by himself and even going completely underwater all by himself!!!! He loved all of the balls in this pool!

We saw this awesome car parked in Walmart Parking lot, so we HAD to stop and look at it!
My first thought when we stopped to take a pic. was "OH, MAN! Cy doesn't have a shirt!" (we had just come from the pool) and then I thought...we are looking at a nascar, I think he is dressed appropriately! :) haha!

We woke up Monday morning with no plans and nothing to do, so...Why not go to the Zoo?! The first thing we did was ride the carousel, Cy's favorite thing! It was Nolan's first time to ride and it was HILARIOUS! He was smiling, laughing and saying "Ohhh, oooooooohhhhhh, ooohh!" accompanied with shakes of excitement...he LOVED it!

We got there early and beat the heat and the crowd!

Nolan found his way into the kitchen, into the lazy susan, and into the doughnuts!
He had taken bites out of almost every single one and they were ALLLLLL over the floor!
As I rounded the corner to see what he was into, he quickly grabbed as many as he could and stuffed them into his mouth!
Seriously, there was no way I could be mad at that face...he's got me wrapped around his little finger! :)

While I'm posting I would like to announce that Nolan is ALMOST WALKING! He is taking 5 or so steps at a time and last night we were at Aunt Cindy and Uncle Doug's house for dinner and he took 5-6 steps!

Well, what can I say, VBS was AWESOME! It was my first year to co-teach and it was a life changing experience! It was so great to spend special time with children of our church, of other churches in Indianapolis, and especially with children whom have no church home at all! I was really excited to have Cy in my class on Friday, when we also had our closing ceremony! Cy really surprised me by singing almost every word to every song, with EVERY motion! (and once pulling his shirt up and exposing his full, tan little belly!) I thank the Lord, for calling me to be a part of Vacation Bible School this year! He really did someting to my heart! :)

Celebrating FREEDOM!

To celebrate July 4, we went to visit my Dad and Cathy in Marion! Cathy's son Charlie and his wife and girls were home from a LONG stay in Turkey and visiting before they move to Guam!!! It was great to spend time with everyone! Uncle Randy even came over to hang out and play ball with Cy! :)

He said that he would love to, so on Nolan's birthday, Nate came over to our house for a "photo shoot!" He caught some AMAZING photos of Nolan, as well as some sweet shots of Cy and a couple family pics. He took over 350 pictures and I could have literally posted every single one of them!! He did an awesome job of capturing smiles, tears, laughter and growls! I hope you enjoy these sweet pictures of our gorgeous and precious boys!

What joy our children bring to us! Thank you, Nate for capturing these special moments. We will treasure them forever!

It's so hard to believe our precious Nolan is ONE!
It seems like only yesterday we were holding him for the first time!

We sure do have a sweet, happy, precious, joyful, adorable baby!

Nolan, we are SO thankful for you! We are blessed beyond words and cannot thank the Good Lord enough for your life! You are such a joyful, happy boy and we love you SO SO SO much!

At 1 year old you:

Are NOT walking and do not seem to be interested at all! (Mommy is TOTALLY fine with that, too!) You get wherever you need to go, so please take your time on the walking thing!

You are madly in love with your mommy and the feeling is mutual!

You LOVE to watch your brother and keep your eyes on him at all times! You love clapping for him when he's playing ball and laugh at him when he does something/anything funny, loud, or silly.

You do what we call the "mean" face and also the "football" face (the same one Cy used to do!) it CRACKS us up!

Your bedtime is 7:00 sharp and you sleep until about 6 am...nurse for 10 minutes or so and head right back to your crib until about 8:30...(sometimes instead of sleeping right away you lay in your crib and sing/talk/giggle. I love listening to you through the monitor!)

You love to eat toast with butter and jam, blueberry waffles, bananas, oranges, turkey, cheese and oatmeal.

You are an AMAZING boy and we love you so much, Nolan Everett!

Last week, Cyrus competed in a Homerun Derby contest for the YMCA. Anyone interested made a small donation to the Y for children who want to be a part of a sport but can not afford it. Cyrus and several others participated and had a blast! There were cones set up about 20 feet from the T and you got 10 hits (from the T). One kid from Cy's team did great and was giving Cy a run for his money, but we found out on Saturday, Cy WON the contest with a whopping 5 homers! We were so proud of our big boy and he was SO excited that his prize was a really cool new baseball bat and ball! He is doing well, loving T-ball and learning a lot about baseball and teamwork! Thank you to his fans who have come out to watch! :)

For Mother's Day, my boys took me downtown to Cafe Patachou for lunch. (It is one of my very FAVORITE places to eat!) We met g-mom and g-dad Toombs and Justin there and had a nice lunch together. Then we headed home for a relaxing evening. It was a great day!

I am so THANKFUL for the BLESSING of being a mother! It is one of the greatest joys of my life!

Also, we are so thankful to have so many special mothers/women in our lives! We hope you had a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! We love you ALL! :)

All is well in the Cole home. It's hard to believe Cy is 3 1/2 and even more hard to believe Nolan is 9 1/2 months old aready! Where does time go? Cy is getting ready to start T-ball and is BEYOND excited! He is also very happy that his daddy is going to be his coach! He is ready to get outside and play ball and ride his new bike. He is HILARIOUS and makes my wonder every single day, where he gets this unbelieveable knowledge!

Nolan is BIG, sweet, happy and CRAWLING. He is a great eater, only eating the baby food that I make and of course, nursing. He loves his big brother and a bit of a momma's boy!

Yes, I got into the baby powder!
Our neighborhood is prone to flooding. The thunderstorms Sunday evening/Monday morning brought on a TON of water and we were stuck in our neighborhood! (Thank goodness our house is fine, and we didn't need to go anywhere!) The guy in the red (left) is Chris Proffitt from Channel 13 news! Several of the evening stories showed out neighborhood and house!

Nolan is really teething right now and we have gladly accepted 5 new teeth for a total of 7!!!

Mommy is a part of Women's Ministry at church and is a team member of the Winter Retreat. The team worked for over a year putting together this years retreat. Mommy was gone from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon with 35 women and had an AMAZING time! The retreat was at Lake Placid Conference Center in Hartford City, IN. Our guest speaker was Kathy Blume, an amazing woman with an awesome testimony! The weekend was GREAT!
Although she missed her babies like CRAZY, Mommy said it was nice for her to have some mommy time and spend some time getting to know the Lord a little better as well as the wonderful women of Westlake! The women shared stories, played games, enjoyed spa night, ate (alot!), talked, and just had a great time of renewing themselves.
Nolan got to spend the weekend with Mamaw Black (THANK YOU, Mamaw!!!)
and Daddy and I spent the weekend together going to Carsen's 3rd Birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARSEN!!!!!) Church and Sunday School, and Aunt Abbie took me to a bounce house! THANK'S Aunt Abs!

Notice the red mark on Nolan's forehead...He has had an ear infection for several weeks and after taking his medication, broke out in hives. Our Dr. says he is allergic to penicillin. :(

I mentioned above that Nolan has an ear infection. We went to the doctor today for our THIRD follow up visit and learned that the ear infection is STILL there. We started our third different type of antibiotic and are praying that this one works. We go back in 2 weeks and if the infection is still there, he will get two antibiotic shots and will be referred to an ENT specialist. (Ear Nose and Throat). We are praying that God heals our precious little Nolan as we know he is not feeling great right now...he is also in the process of cutting 6, yes SIX teeth!!! A few of them are out and a few others are right at the gum...He will have 8 teeth VERY soon. {Mom is a little nervous about this as nursing and teeth DO NOT MIX! :)}

I on the other hand am doing great. I enjoyed the nice weather last week and played outside with my rollerblades, rode my bike, drew with my sidewalk chalk, and you bet I played baseball! It was nice to be out and about. We can't WAIT until spring gets here!!!

Saturday night Mommy and Daddy surprised me and took me downtown to see TOY STORY 3 on Ice!!! Grandma and Grandpa Cole came along too!!! We had a BLAST!

We ventured to Marion after our Christmas at home to spend the day with Mamaw Black! The next day we went to my Papaw Black's house to spend the day. I had a great time with all of my WONDERFUL grandparents in Marion!

Our last Christmas was the Cole/Talley Christmas where we celebrated at Gigi and Pap's house! Daddy surprised all of the boys and took them to the "Hoosier" gym where the movie Hoosiers was filmed. They got to play basketball and had a BLAST!

Friday evening G-mom and G-dad Toombs took us to ride the Polar Bear Express! We listened to a story and then hopped on the train in downtown Fishers and rode all the way to downtown Noblesville and back!

Today after church we went to a christmas tree farm called Lost Forty Tree Farm.

All of the trees were perfect and looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

We bundled up and got out for a few minutes...Mommy and Nolan went back to the car and Daddy and I took off to find our tree. All of the trees at this farm were so nice, so it didn't take long to find the perfect tree for our house!

Last Friday was a BIG day for our baby boy! He rolled over from back to belly for the first time in the morning, went down for his afternoon nap and woke up with his first tooth! Monday the second tooth decided to come as well...

SO, our almost 5 month old officially has TWO teeth!

He amazes us everyday with the things he can do and we cannot believe how big he is getting!

(Cyrus' first experience with oatmeal was the exact opposite and he did NOT like it at all!!!)He has also been enjoying some time in his jumperoo! (Check out those legs...and kankles!!!)

Nolan is also holding his head up like a pro, grabing and grasping things laying becide him or hanging in front of him, putting them into his mouth, and CRACKING up at the silly things his big brother does! :) We are truly blessed!

Nolan LOVES this doggy that Brett, Courtney and Berkley (Talley) got him when he was born! Mommy puts it in the corner of the crib and it lights up and plays 10 or 20 minutes of lullabys that Nolan LOVES to fall asleep to. When mom goes back in the room to check on him, EVERY TIME he has pulled the doggy so that it is right next to his ear.

After getting lots of candy mommy, Nolan and I went to Marion for a visit. We stopped by to trick or treat at my Papaw and Mamaw Black's house! Papaw thought we looked awesome in our costumes!!!

It's been a while since our last post, so here's a bit to catch up...

Auntie BT came over on my birthday to bring me our annual ice cream cupcakes. It's the 3rd year in a row she has done this and I must say, it's one of my FAVORITE traditions! YUMM!!!!

I got MANY phone calls on my birthday, but my favorite came from KATE and Aunt Jamie!

If he doesn't have a paci in his mouth, he will suck on any finger he can get into his mouth...the more the merrier. The other day he was caught with all 8 fingers in there! :)

Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding in Terre Haute on Saturday, their good friends Travis and Alyssa got married and they had a great day and beautiful wedding. Nolan was a perfect angel and fought over most of the night for who was going to hold him next!
Grandma and Grandpa Cole watched me! I LOVE spending the day at Grandma and Grandpa's! THANK YOU for taking such good care of me! :)

Well, I had my 3 year check up and Nolan had his 4 month checkup on Wednesday. I weigh 33lbs. 5 oz. and am in the 69th percentile for weight. I am 38 inches tall, which puts me in the 64th percentile for height...I'm growing perfectly, and becides the cold I have right now, am feeling good and looking healthy! I didn't get any shots but I did get the flu mist! Hopefully it will keep me flu free this winter! I am really enjoying my baby brother and every time I enter the room he will turn his head to find me! We laugh and giggle at each other daily and I really enjoy being his big brother and showing him my batting skills!

Nolan weighs in at a MASSIVE 16 lbs. 9 oz. and is in the 85th percentile for weight and the 50th for height! Still short and still VERY chunky! He had to get 3 shots and cried for just a bit. Mom nursed him quickly after the shots and he settled down and took a good nap! Nolan is close to rolling over and sitting up pretty good when leaned against something. He is enjoying tummy time, but only for a few minutes. He's still not missing a meal, so we are wondering how he will do when he starts eating cereal...the doctor told us to start this in 1 month!

That's all we've got for now...Our Halloween costumes are pretty awesome, so stay tuned to find out what we are going to be!!!!!

I didn't do an actual Birthday post for Cy, things are pretty crazy with 2 kiddos, so it's better late than never...

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY 3rd Birthday to our AMAZING Cyrus Warren!!!! You are a great kid and an amazing big brother and we cannot imagine our lives without you in it! You amaze us everyday with how SMART, funny, sweet and loving you are! Mommy, Daddy and Nolan love you SO SO SO much! :) We thank the Lord each and every day for the blessing of YOU!!! Pumpkin Patch Birthday Party!

I was constantly talking about my birthday party and waking up in the morning and from naps and saying "TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!" So mommy made a Party Countdown calendar to help me understand a little better!

Each day I got to tear off a smiley that told me how many days left until my party!

I looked forward to pulling a smiley off every day and then we would dance in excitement that my party was one day closer!

For my 3rd Birthday party, we went to Stoneycreek Farms and Pumpkin Patch!

The weather was BEAUTIFUL, wonderful family surrounded us, and we had an AWESOME time together!

I enjoyed all of the cupcakes I got to eat...must have been 4 or so! (ha!)

Zac and Nolan had a great time at my party!

After lunch, cupcakes, and presents we took a short walk over to the pumpkin patch...we wanted to take the hayride over, but the line was L O N G! (It's literally a 3 minute walk or less, so it wasn't bad at all!) On the way over, we stopped and visited with this turkey! He was yelling "GOBBLE GOBBLE! GOBBLE GOBBLE!"

I thought the turkey was HILARIOUS!

On September 25th Berkley turned 1!!! We love you, Berkley! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I asked mom if we could go to the zoo since we have a membership and since summer is almost over! Mom thought it was a great idea, so we called Court and Berkley to come along!

Nolan is sleeping in his crib now and is doing great! Most of the time he is sleeping through the night getting up between 5-6 and then sleeping until 8 or 9!

On Saturday Daddy, Mommy, Nolan and I went over to Grandma and Grandpa Cole's house to spend the day. Daddy helped Grandpa put in some new windows and Grandma cooked Daddy a WONDERFUL birthday dinner (his b-day is October 6th!)! We love when we spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa!

Roanoke, VA 2010

We headed to Roanoke, VA for the annual tournament and it was a GREAT weekend! We left early Friday morning and got there around 4:00. Nolan and I did AMAZING in the car and we had a nice weekend of softball, fellowship, family time, and raised $20,000 for Paraguay!! Sunday was the last day of the tournament and we played ball from 8:00 am and got back to our hotel after 1:00 am Monday morning! It was a LOOOONG day! Needless to say, we ALL slept in until 9:15 before heading back home!

Praise God for an AWESOME weekend! Oh yea, and my Grandpa and Daddy's team (Westlake Red) WON their bracket of 20 teams! AND my daddy hit a HOMERUN!!!!!!!

We had Nolan's ultrasound on Wednesday and they told me we would get the results probably on Friday...we left the hospital and not 15 minutes after we got home, I received a phone call from our peditrician saying that they got the results back and they didn't see anything in the pictures! All is well with our BIG man and we were so happy to hear that great news!

Funny story: While we were at the ultrasound, we were sitting in the waiting room and Cyrus says, "Mommy, do you have boobs!?!"

I couldn't help but laugh and told him to please keep his voice down! Luckily most of the other people in the room were quite old and probably hard of hearing! Quite embarassing but HILARIOUS!!! What a stinker! :)

We thank the Lord for our two healthy, adorable, smart and silly children!!!

Nolan Update!

Nolan had his 2 month checkup on Friday!

He weighs in at a massive 13.9 pounds which puts him in the 95th percentile for weight.

He is 23 inches long and in the 60th percentile for height.

He's a short, tubby little guy!

The doctor said he is doing wonderful and growing perfectly. She did however recommend he get an ultrasound on his hips as he has uneven skin folds on his thighs which could mean that his hips aren't developing quickly enough. She was sure things were good, but just wants to be sure!!!

Please pray that everything comes out normally! We have an ultrasound coming up and will keep you all posted!

Indiana State Fair

Since the birth of Nolan, I have become quite independant. Sometimes when I am supposed to be sleeping, mom will hear me in my room and come to check on me...this is how she found me the other day. (Please notice the pants are on backwards!) She ran and got the camera and then caught me in action, picking my nose! :)

So, life is going well with my little brother! I am an AWESOME help for mommy when she needs a diaper and wipes or help with Nolan's bath. I LOVE holding him and kissing him and am really good at calming him down if he is crying. Tonight we were on our way home from dinner and he was a litte upset (he does NOT like his carseat!) I said, "It's alright, Nolan. We are almost home!" (SOOO sweet!)

Nolan is doing well and is officially 1 month old! We cannot believe our little guy is already 4 weeks. He is doing VERY well!

We went to the doctor yesterday and Nolan is 10 pounds 8 ounces and in the 88th percentile for weight! The doctor was very happy about how big he is getting and was also very surprised to find out the he has also grown 2 inches in just 3 weeks which puts him in the 90th percentile for his height!!!!!! Looks like we are going to have a big boy on our hands if he keeps eating the way he does! :)

We are so thankful for our healthy family and praise the Lord for all of the blessing HE has provided!
